Dana

Dana

Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant

Dana’s life has always been filled with animals, adventure, and plenty of great conversation. Growing up, she was fortunate enough to attend David Glasgow Farragut High School in Rota, Spain, where she graduated in 1981. Since then, her journey has taken her through the world of horses, where she spent years working hands-on with these magnificent animals, deepening her understanding of their care, behavior, and the special bond they share with their humans.

Since joining the Animal Medical Center of Louisa in 2023, Dana has found joy in one of her favorite things—chatting with clients and meeting their sweet furbabies. Whether it’s helping a nervous pet parent feel at ease, swapping funny animal stories, or getting to know the unique personalities of every dog and cat that walks through the door, she makes sure everyone (two-legged and four) feels welcome.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dana and her husband are all about the great outdoors. Camping is their happy place, and they take every opportunity to escape into nature, hiking with their beloved dogs, Lola and Murphy. Whether they’re gathered around a campfire, playing games, or spending quality time with their children, grandchildren, and friends, Dana cherishes every moment of connection, laughter, and adventure.
